Eligibility for admission in Diploma in Computer Science Engineering:

  • The candidate must have passed Class X from a recognized board.
  • He/ She must have studied Mathematics.

Courses after Computer Science Engineering

1. BCA

Bachelor of Computer Application is a 3-year UG course that imparts knowledge on the basics of computer application and software development. You can get direct admission to a BCA course after completing a Diploma in Computer Engineering. However, that is only if you fulfill the required eligibility criteria for Admission as some institutions have a minimum 50% eligibility requirement in diploma for taking admissions in BCA.

2. MCA

Master of Computer Applications (MCA) is a 2-year postgraduate degree course. This course imparts theory and practical knowledge on the various aspects of computer applications. Thus, you would need to obtain a graduate degree in order to be eligible for this course.

3. BBA

Bachelor's in Business Administration (BBA) in India is a graduate degree. This degree equips the students with professional management qualifications leading to acquiring the business leadership roles but to be eligible to pursue a BBA course, you need to have passed the 12th standard or an equivalent examination in any stream from a recognized board.

4. Aeronautical Engineering

Aeronautical Engineering is a well-known discipline of engineering that appeals to students who are fascinated by airplanes and their mechanisms. The major responsibility of an Aeronautical Engineer is to design aircraft and propulsion systems. However as time goes on, the engineer is given new tasks to complete. You are not eligible for the Aeronautical Engineering course if you have completed a diploma course in computer science engineering but those candidates who have completed a diploma in Aeronautical Engineering from a recognized university are eligible for B.E/B.Tech in Aeronautical Engineering. Along with this, your age should also be above 17 years.

5. MBA

Master's in Business Administration (MBA) is a popular 2-year professional degree course. This course provides students with a wide spectrum to choose their field of career. The two-year management curriculum opens the door to a myriad of corporate job prospects. An MBA degree has become a requirement for most managerial level employment across domains and sectors. As a result of this, a considerable number of BTech, BBA, BCom, BA, BSc, and BCA graduates now pursue MBA as a postgraduate degree. You can do MBA after a diploma in engineering. But only from institutions, not from universities, because a three-year bachelor's degree is necessary for MBA entrance. Therefore, you can only do MBA from institutes. If your diploma is authorized as a three-year degree programme, you are able to apply for the various MBA entrance exams. Hence, if you want to get an MBA, you must have completed three years of bachelor's degree.
